Diwali Corporate Gifting 2026: Hand-Embroidered Gifts Employees Actually Keep

White hand-embroidered t-shirt with custom initials in a floral wreath, suitable for personalised corporate Diwali gifting

The short answer

Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November. Corporate orders for hand-embroidered gifts should be briefed by early September, because every piece is stitched by hand in our Bulandshahr studio and a single embroidered initial takes roughly 6 hours of needle time. Hand work does not scale the way screen printing does. The calendar is the real constraint, not the design.

Why the standard Diwali hamper stops working

Most corporate Diwali gifting in India lands in the same three places: a dry fruit box, a branded diary and pen set, or a scented candle in a kraft box. All three are safe. All three are also forgettable, and most of them are quietly re-gifted before the week is out.

The reason is not budget. It is that nothing in the box was made for the person holding it. A dry fruit box addressed to 200 employees is one gift bought 200 times. A tee with someone's own initial stitched into it is 200 different gifts.

What does a hand-embroidered corporate gift actually look like?

The pieces that work best for teams are the personalised ones. A custom initial or name tee on 220 GSM cotton, stitched by hand, currently sits at Rs 1,300 for a single unit. Beyond that, embroidered socks, caps and sweatshirts all take a motif well. Every stitch is done by women artisans in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, with no machine embroidery anywhere in the process.

How far in advance should a company order?

Work backwards from 8 November. Distribution usually happens in the week before Diwali, so pieces need to be in your office by roughly 1 November. Add shipping and quality checks, then add the stitching time itself, which is the long pole. Briefing us in the first half of September gives the studio room to work without rushing the embroidery.

What we need from you to quote

  • Headcount, and the size split if you already have it
  • The date the gifts need to be in your hands, not the date of Diwali
  • Whether you want individual names or initials, or one shared motif across the order
  • Any colour or garment preference

Send those four things and we can tell you honestly whether the timeline works. If it does not, we will say so rather than take the order and cut corners on the stitching.

Personalised or uniform: which is better for a team?

Individual initials work best for teams under about 100 people, where the gesture reads as personal. For larger orders, a single well-chosen motif stitched across every piece keeps the craft intact while staying practical. Marigold, diya and lotus motifs all suit Diwali without tipping into novelty.

Frequently asked questions

Can you put a company logo on the embroidery?

Logo work depends entirely on the shape. Simple marks translate well into hand stitching. Complex logos with fine gradients or small text do not, and we would rather tell you that upfront than deliver something that looks like a bad copy of your brand mark. Send us the file and we will give you a straight answer.

Is hand embroidery durable enough for daily wear?

Yes. Hand-stitched thread is knotted and anchored into the fabric rather than sitting on the surface the way a print does. It does not crack or peel. Wash the garment inside out in cold water and the embroidery outlasts the cotton around it.

How is this different from bulk printed t-shirts?

Printing is fast, cheap per unit, and looks it. Hand embroidery costs more and takes longer because a person sits with the piece for hours. The difference is visible from across a room, which is the entire point of a gift meant to represent your company.

Do you ship across India?

Yes, we ship pan-India in INR. For corporate orders we consolidate to a single delivery address unless you ask for individual dispatch.

Start the conversation

Send us your headcount and your in-hand date on our corporate and bulk gifting page. If Diwali 2026 is the target, September is when this needs to start.
