How to tell hand embroidery from machine embroidery

Turn the shirt inside out. Machine embroidery leaves a stiff paper or mesh backing behind the design, and every stitch is the same length. Hand embroidery has no backing. You can see the knots, and the stitch length drifts a little as the artisan works around a curve.

That drift is also why two tees with the same design never match exactly. A rose on one might sit a few millimetres higher than on the next.

Fabric and fit

We stitch on 220 to 240 GSM cotton. Lighter fabric puckers around a dense design after a few washes. Most of the range is oversized with a dropped shoulder, in unisex sizes XS to XXL. Chest and length for every size are on the size chart.

Why prices vary

Price follows stitching time. A small motif on the chest takes a few hours. A thread-painted bird across the back can take one artisan a full day, because feathers are built up in layers of long and short stitch.

Questions people ask us

Will the embroidery survive the washing machine?

Yes. Turn the shirt inside out, use a cold gentle cycle and skip the dryer. Thread does not crack the way a print does. Iron on the reverse, never on the stitches.

Are these for men or women?

Both. The cuts are unisex, XS to XXL.

How long until it reaches me?

Each tee is stitched after you order. Allow 7 to 10 days for it to be made and shipped within India.

Can I add a name to one of these designs?

Message us on WhatsApp before ordering with the name and where you want it. We will tell you honestly whether it fits the design.
