<p>Embroidered socks are the best Christmas gift we make, and it is not close. They are small enough for a stocking, cheap enough to give several, and unlike most things at that price they are genuinely made by hand.</p><p>For the bigger gift, a name or initial stitched onto cotton. Sunflowers, roses, tulips, mushrooms and wildflowers on the socks, all worked in real thread by women artisans in Bulandshahr.</p><p><strong>Order by early December.</strong> Personalised pieces take about 6 hours of stitching each, and December courier volumes are the worst of the year.</p>
