The short answer
Client gifts fail for a predictable reason: they are chosen to be inoffensive. A dry fruit box offends nobody and is remembered by nobody. If the point of the gift is to be remembered by a person you want to keep working with, the gift has to be specific to them, and it has to look like a decision rather than a purchase order.
Why the standard client hamper does not work
Your client received the same hamper from four other vendors that week. Most of them arrived in the same kraft box with the same ribbon. The gift signals that you remembered the occasion, which is the low bar, and nothing beyond that.
Worse, corporate hampers are usually sent to the office, opened in front of colleagues, and left on a shared table. Nothing about that sequence builds a relationship.
What should you send a client instead?
Something they will take home. Hand-embroidered apparel works here because it is unusual enough to explain, which means your client explains you to someone else. A tee or sweatshirt with a motif chosen for that person, or their initial stitched by hand, does more relationship work than a hamper at three times the price.
Should a client gift carry your logo?
Usually not. A logo turns a gift into advertising and the recipient knows it. If you want attribution, put it on the card, not the garment. The exception is a client who genuinely likes your brand and would wear it, which you will know without guessing.
Where a logo does make sense, hand embroidery handles bold clean marks well and small type badly. Send us the file before you commit to the idea.
How to pick the motif
This is where a client gift earns its keep. Instead of a generic design, pick something that connects to the person: a bird if they birdwatch, a sunflower if you know the house, an evil eye if they are superstitious about it in a fond way. It takes five minutes of thought and it is the entire difference between a gift and a shipment.
Every piece is stitched by hand by women artisans in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, so the motif is genuinely chosen per order rather than pulled from a machine library.
Volume, timing, and being realistic
Client lists are usually short, which suits hand embroidery well. A single embroidered initial takes roughly 6 hours of stitching, so a list of twenty is very workable and a list of five hundred is not the right use of this craft.
Work backwards from the date you want the gift to land, not the date of the occasion. Tell us that date first and we will tell you whether it is possible.
Frequently asked questions
What is a reasonable budget for a client gift in India?
Our hand-embroidered tees start at Rs 1,300 on 220 GSM cotton. For most B2B relationships that sits comfortably inside gifting policy while still being clearly considered. Check your client's own gifting policy first, since some companies cap the value they can accept.
Can you ship directly to each client?
Yes. We ship pan-India in INR. For client gifting, individual dispatch usually makes more sense than a consolidated delivery to your office.
How far ahead should we order?
For a list under twenty, a few weeks is usually workable. For festival periods, when everyone orders at once, start earlier. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November, so a September brief is the safe move.
Will the embroidery hold up?
Yes. Hand-stitched thread is anchored into the weave rather than sitting on the surface, so it does not crack or peel. Cold water, inside out, no tumble dry.
