Infographic showing custom embroidered t-shirt delivery takes seven to fourteen days in India across queue, stitching and courier

Short answer. Seven to fourteen days door to door in India. That splits into a three to seven day studio queue, two to fourteen hours of stitching, half a day for wash, press and quality control, then three to six days of courier. For a fixed gifting date, order fourteen days ahead, or twenty-one during festival season.

The queue, not the stitching, is what most people underestimate.

Hand embroidery is made after you order it. There is no shelf it comes off. That single fact explains every part of the timeline below, including the part people find frustrating.

The full timeline, stage by stage

Timeline infographic of six stages from order and proof through studio queue, stitching, finishing, dispatch and gifting deadline
Six stages. Only one of them is the actual stitching.
Stage How long What is happening
Order and spelling proof Same day to 24 hours Custom names get a written layout proof you approve
Studio queue 3 to 7 days Orders are stitched in sequence. Longer around Diwali and wedding season
Stitching 2 to 14 hours One artisan, one garment, hooping through to knot-off
Wash, press, QC About half a day Marker removed, seams checked, spelling verified against your proof
Dispatch Same or next day Folded stitch-side in, boxed
Courier 3 to 4 days metro, 5 to 6 elsewhere India-wide, included on orders over ₹999

Order and spelling proof. Custom names get a written layout proof. It takes from the same day to 24 hours, and how fast you approve it is up to you.

Studio queue, 3 to 7 days. Orders are stitched in sequence, so this is the stage people underestimate. Around Diwali and wedding season it can run ten days rather than five.

Stitching, 2 to 14 hours. One artisan, one garment, hooping through to knot-off. A name or initial is two to three hours; a large back panel is fourteen, which is two working days.

Wash, press and QC. About half a day: marker removed, seams checked, and the spelling verified against the proof you approved.

Dispatch. The same or the next day. The piece is folded stitch-side in and boxed.

Courier. Three to four days to a metro address, five to six elsewhere. Shipping is India-wide and included on orders over ₹999.

What makes an order slower

  • Custom names. Not the stitching, the proof. If you take three days to approve the layout, that is three days added before the queue even starts.
  • Festival weeks. Diwali, Karva Chauth, Raksha Bandhan and wedding season all compress into the same months. Our queue can run ten days rather than five. Plan around Diwali and Karva Chauth dates specifically.
  • Large back panels. Fourteen hours is two working days of one artisan's time, not two hours.
  • Multiple pieces. Ten tees is ten times the stitching, not a batch run. This is also why bulk pricing barely moves.

What makes it faster

  • Stock designs. No proof step, and our artisans are faster on motifs they have stitched fifty times. Browse best sellers.
  • Approving your proof the same day. The single biggest thing in your control.
  • Ordering to a metro address. Three to four days instead of five to six.
  • Smaller designs. A name or initial is two to three hours, not fourteen.

Birthday in a non-festival month: 14 days. Standard queue plus courier, with a buffer. A dated piece is the one gift you cannot reorder late.

Anniversary or wedding gift: 21 days. A custom name adds a proof cycle before the queue even starts, so approve the layout the same day.

Diwali, Karva Chauth or Rakhi: 21 to 25 days. The studio queue lengthens and couriers slow down across festival weeks, both at once.

Corporate order of 20 pieces: 30 days. Ten tees is ten times the stitching, not a batch run. Twenty is twenty times the hours.

Occasion edits, if you are working backwards from a date: anniversary and Valentine's, birthdays, weddings, corporate gifting.

Why nobody honest offers same-day hand embroidery

Because two to fourteen hours of one person's time cannot be compressed, and that person already has yesterday's orders in front of her. Any seller promising same-day dispatch on hand work is either shipping pre-made stock or shipping machine embroidery. It is one of the nine things to check.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a custom embroidered T-shirt take to deliver in India?

Seven to fourteen days door to door: a three to seven day studio queue, two to fourteen hours of stitching, half a day of finishing, then three to six days of courier.

How far ahead should I order an embroidered gift?

Fourteen days for a normal month, twenty-one for anything with a custom name, and twenty-one to twenty-five during Diwali, Karva Chauth or wedding season.

Why is there a queue before my T-shirt is stitched?

Because every piece is made after you order it and stitched in sequence by one artisan. The queue runs three to seven days, longer during festival weeks.

Can I get hand embroidery the same day?

Not genuinely. Two to fourteen hours of one person's time cannot be compressed, and existing orders come first. Same-day offers on hand work usually mean pre-made stock or machine embroidery.

Does a bulk order take longer?

Yes, proportionally. Ten tees is ten times the stitching hours, not a batch run. Allow thirty days for a twenty-piece corporate order.
