Short answer. The best embroidered hoodie is a heavy cotton fleece one, 350 GSM or more, with the design stitched into the cloth and placed clear of the pocket and seams. The hoodies we make

Floral. Three designs on black: wildflowers, cherry blossom and coral blossom. The flowers run across both shoulders and down the sleeves, and the two sides never match.
A name on black. The letters are filled with knotted thread and planted with small cream daisies. A red heart sits after the name.
A name on cream. Tall block capitals filled in shades of red, with a small heart after the last letter. Red reads strongest on a pale base.
Five things to check on any embroidered hoodie
1. How the design was made
"Embroidered" covers hand stitching, machine stitching and sewn-on patches. All three are legitimate. They don't cost the same, and a listing should say which one you're getting. If it doesn't, ask.
2. The weight of the fleece
Look for a number in GSM. Embroidery adds weight to one part of a garment, and thin fleece puckers and sags around it. Our hoodies are 400 GSM cotton fleece, brushed soft on the inside.
3. Where the design sits
A hoodie has less clear space than a sweatshirt. The pouch pocket takes the lower front, and the hood covers the upper back when it's down. Good placements are the chest above the pocket, the shoulders and the sleeves.
4. The fit
Most embroidered hoodies are cut unisex. Ours are oversized and run from XS to XXL. Check the size chart against a hoodie you already own, because a larger size moves a chest design lower on the body.
5. The care label
A well-stitched hoodie can be washed at home many times, but it shouldn't be tumble dried. Read the label before you buy, and ask if the listing doesn't show one.

The three florals
Each one carries flowers across both shoulders and down the length of the sleeves, on black. The two sides aren't mirrored. Each shoulder is stitched freehand, so the left never matches the right and no two hoodies come out the same.
The two name hoodies
A name of one to ten letters, stitched across the chest. The price depends on the number of letters. On black, the letters are filled with knotted thread and small daisies. On cream, they're tall red capitals with a heart after the last one.
Type the name in the order note. We confirm the spelling with you on WhatsApp before any stitching starts.
Hand or machine?
Machine embroidery is quick and even. One design takes a machine 8 to 20 minutes, which is why a machine-embroidered hoodie from a big brand costs much less than ours.
Hand embroidery takes hours, and the hours are what you pay for. In return the design can wrap a shoulder or run down a sleeve, and a pulled thread can be restitched years later. How long hand embroidery takes on fleece gives the numbers.
Neither one is wrong. Buy machine work for a logo or a team order, and hand work for the one piece you want to keep.
How to wash an embroidered hoodie
- Turn it inside out.
- Wash cold, at 30°C or below, on a gentle cycle in a mesh bag. Hand washing is fine too.
- Keep the spin at 600 rpm or less.
- Dry it flat in shade. Don't tumble dry.
- Fold it for storage. A heavy hoodie on a hanger stretches at the shoulders.
